STEP 3.2 : RETAIN OR REMOVE GMD
retain or remove gmd
The PCC guideline for converting AACR2 records to RDA says to retain the GMD in the 245 $h. This allows for the record to contain hybrid AACR2 and RDA elements, which may facilitate ILS display or discovery.
MARS 2.0 also provides the option to remove the GMD in the 245 $h if you determine that it is no longer needed after the Content, Media, and Carrier types have been added in the 33X fields.
